Default troy alpha rail

I currently have a yhm diamond series handguard, and I have ordered a Troy alpha rail to replace it. Do I need a standard barrel nut to install the alpha.

Thanks

Kwaynebb,

Yes! you do need the standard barrel nut! Be sure to re-torque the barrel nut to a minimum of 35 Ft Lbs when installing it.
In all honesty your YHM Quadrail is much more sturdier! Only a thought!

I like Troy rails but I'm a big fan of the YHM Diamond rails.

As you can probably tell from my avatar, I stay as far away from Troy as possible.
