Thinking about an AR-15 build
I am thinking about buying a stripped lower and piecing together my own AR. It will be used for hunting and basic target shooting. I know some companies when it comes to 1911s but what companies should I look at for parts? Thanks a lot

I went with PSA myself, and am very happy with the results. By the way, Sooner Guns over at 56th and Mingo is the only gun shop in Tulsa that I have found that carries stripped lowers.

I've done 4 lowers using PSA LPK's and I'm pleased with them. Not having experienced others LPK's I can't compare, but those who shoot my rifles have commented on how smooth the trigger is.

PSA is now having a sale on LPK's and Lower assembly kits with free shipping. (

I used an Armalite lower I got at my local gun store for $130 out the door. It was excellent quality. I then used a Rock River Arms (RRA) lower parts kit with single stage trigger and a mil-spec. 6-position collapsible stock to finish the lower assembly off. I have been very happy with the RRA parts. The trigger is smooth as glass and breaks very crisply.

for stocks and buffer tube asseblies I recommend

LPKs and lower build kits has great stuff, tho their prices aren't the greatest. has some great sales and great budget optics. has some good prices and great sales. has some really good prices. has just about everything, prices are ok, but shipping is expensive.
