But if you are talking about 800, there's a lot of special considerations when you get to those ranges. Bull barrels would be better, as would longer barrels for more velocity. Also when you start talking about 24" bulls, you make need to look into a stronger upper reciever to handle all that weight. Also handloading 77+ grain projectiles would be key.
The upper I'm getting is pretty beefy so it shouldn't be an issue. VLTOR MUR - the one with forward assist and ejection port cover, not the one without it, it seems a bit wimpy to me. I've read pretty good reviews on it and love the way it looks.
As for hand loading my rounds, I'll likely have to stick with store bought as I don't have the equipment for it. Probably pay a few extra bucks for better quality though. =/
