Default Thermold mags

Store near me has a deal on Thermold mags for $9.95 and get the 11th free when buying 10. Worth it to stock up on or pay more for Magpul?

I can mix AR and AK mags in the same purchase.

I have two, they run good and I wouldn't get rid of them, but I wouldn't buy any more. I'd pay a bit extra for the Pmags. They just feel better to me.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy them if you need mags and can't find others. I've shot thermolds with no problem what so ever. People like to talk trash about thermolds and feeding problems but you can find plenty of internet links about pmag feeding problems as well.

I also haven't had much trouble with Thermolds but just use them as range mags. Never had a problem with their 20 rd but one 30 won't feed 100%. The 20rd used to be $3!

Don't really need them. I shoot with 3 Pmags now and can get more in my area for $15. This would be a buy and put away for if the government tries to ban them.

I bought 20 , 20 rd thermolds for $2.99 each and only had a problem with one of them after you put 11 rds in it it would unload its self all over the place , the feed lips were jacked from the factory, but I have not had a problem with the other 19 and I leave them all loaded . I prefer magpul or Lancer mags but I wouldnt kick the Thermolds to the curb

Thermolds are okay, but $10 is too much IMO...especially when I keep seeing deals on PMags, Lancers, and Troys in the $11-13 range.

They dont have such a great rep BUT the 20 rd ones always seem problem free.
Magpul is only a couple bucks more though....

I have 3 of the 20rd Thermold Magazines I bought because all I had was 30rd magazines. When I bought them they were less than $5 so I said what the hell, I like shorter mags when the rifle is shooting out of the rest. I wasn't really expecting too much but the Thermold mags have so far been great performers. I use them fairly often and have yet to have any issues. For the money they seem to be good mags.

I ended up with 20+ of the Thermold 20s, couldn't pass 'em up for $3! At first I only got a few but after they worked out, I got a bunch more. The local Sportsman's Warehouse was blowing them out. The 30s were $7 and I tried a few but then Sportsman's dumped a bunch of S&W stamped 30rd PMAGs for $10 each so I went after them instead! Those were the good ol' days!
