low end 45-70 shoots a 350 grain bullet at roughly 1800fps high end 458socom shoots that same bullet around 1500fps very close but not quite. the disparity grows as bullet weight increases.

reason i didnt mention 50 beo is it uses pistol bullets which arent very good for hunting purposes. the socom can use bullets designed for african dangerous game and everything on down the line.

So swapping up directions for how to go about this now that I don't think I want another upper...is there any way to swap out my vortex sparc with a rifle scope on my ar and keep them zeroed? Would a larue mount work or is it impractical?
