I'd rather get a complete upper. For one it's been test fired and I'd like a good barrel too. The barrel was one of my concerns with the kit I posted in my first post. The lower would be easy for me to build.

Do you have a budget?

Yeah I want to stay under $600. Preferably $500 but I usually don't like to set a low budget for firearms because you usually get what you pay for.

Is that upper only?

Yeah since I purchased the lower today and I won't have to pay rent or a mortgage until May due to a new house purchased I have a little more to spend on the upper.

BCM would put you slightly over $600 bit would be worth every penny. PSA would get you a good upper in you price range. Also check out www.aimsurplus.com for Spikes uppers.

I second the BCM vote at just over your price range. Perfect upper at a great price.

For your budget, you can get a basic Spike's upper with MOE handguards for under $500

I was looking at the Spikes uppers and they seem to be closer to my price range. But availability seems to be a problem right now. I'll look into the BCM uppers.

At AIM? Try Joe Bob's Outfitters. He's a Ks boy.
