I didn't realize that Jstrang was quoting such an old post. Damn trolls.

I'm going to say its the ammo. Unless your putting oil in the chamber, in that case I would say that's your problem you

OK; I haven't gone through all of the posts on this thread, but I am sure that after 5 years the OP has either fixed the problem or got another rifle. Let it die please.

Who do you like the left handed AR. I got a bushmaster C15 and the shells smack me in the face or go down my shirt. SUCKS!!

Agreed. I have at least 1500 rounds out of mine and I have never not once had an issue!

FWIW I've heard Stag makes a good lefty upper. They've been been doing it for awhile so they should have all the bugs worked out.

There's a bunch of ambi lowers on the market, AXTS comes to mind, expensive but very nice. Norgon makes an ambi mag release to retrofit standard lowers.

Thanks Tikki, I will have to check out Stag. River rock had a good looking one too. I'm Working on my right-handed stance, I am going to try to teach myself to shoot that way.

RRA also makes a lefty upper. Have seen positive comments.

Ok; I misunderstood then. If I am not mistaken, I have seen upper recievers and BCG's set up for left handed conversions at Model 1 sales to help remedy that issue. Worth a try if you are comfortable with working on your AR at that level.

Nate, I still think you might have an extractor or some bolt related issue. Just got back from our qualification range, and none of our lefties experienced any brass issues like that. The brass usually travels about 2 feet or so before it arcs back. Try putting in an insert in your extractor and see if that solves it.
