Yep. At the natural pause between the inhale and exhale. The important thing is doing it at the same time each shot so there is as little variation between shots so you can get tight groups to know what you need to adjust.

Gloves, be careful with that Radlock. I have head stories of guys going out of state, turning the screw in so they can release the magazine without a tool, shooting for the weekend, and then coming home without readjusting it. If you get pulled over and a piece officer can release the mag without a tool, it automatically classifies your rifle as an assault weapon, and I believe that comes along with a felony charge and up to ten years in prison here in California. You may want to check CalGuns.net for the consequences. My local black rifle store will not sell Radlocks for this very reason. The "Bullet Button" is a little more fool proof.

Excellent advice, Squirrel_Slayer. That would be a very bad day!

Squirrel_Slayer, I'll keep an eye out for that very thing. That would be a very bad day.

IT'S COMPLETE! I just took a picture of it on the kitchen floor. Can't wait to shoot it. Looks like my schedule is full for the next 2 weekends!!

I forgot to pickup the rail on the bottom of the AR.
At the back of the carry handle there's a paracord bracelet that i forgot was on there when taking the pic.

Someone said it before and I'll say it again. . . AMMO!!!

With these ARs it is important to take the time and find a brand and loading that your gun feeds reliably and shoots with accuracy reasonable enough for practice.

Then go get you a case or ten.

Why? You mean it can get worse for you poor folks stuck out there?

Don't act like you are stranded on a desert island. We got plenty of cheap ammo out here in CO and I'm sure there's a spot between here and there as well.

Happy Shooting!

The Feb 1st BS is about handgun ammo. Hopefully most retailers will still ship rifle ammo to us out here.

I can't help but stare at it.
A complete AR is a beautiful thing.

I hope you made damn sure your AR likes that ammo, before buying cases of it. . . I usually start with 1/2 cases of at least 3 possibilities before I load up. Plus, different conditions call for different stuff. . . ?

Just my opinion though, I'm still on the learning side of ARs and still diggin' it.

Now go shoot one of them cases up!
