Just wondering if this Spikes is any good? Is it an standard model? I know Spikes is one of the Best out there. Just helping a friend of mine getting a cheap & well made AR.

After much research my self the spikes stuff is damn good , I ended up with the Palmetto State Armory M4 for $599 and so far so good I really like it .

I would honestly take a Spikes over the PAS but wouldn't turn the PSA away. Both are good rifles. The Spikes I have had and liked, the PSA I have not had any experience w/ other than reading up on. PSA has received good reviews even by those who are quite serious about their ARs.

Sold out no? Spikes has a rep for some long lead times. I thinks Spike's products are good to go.

Spikes makes a great rifle at a great price. I have the same rifle you're looking at, and have had no issues. I live about 15 from Spike's shop, bought my rifle from a gun store about 5 minutes away, and still paid more than that, so that's a great price.

They can have some long lead times, but that's because they put out a high quality product at a great price, and they have a pretty small operation. I think their rifles got much more popular than they expected.

I've never had to use the customer service, but they have a lifetime warranty and I've heard the customer service is top notch.

I have a mid-length Spikes probably that very same one in the picture.
I added magpul parts to it. Shoots great. Here are some other things you
probably don't care about but i'm listing anyhow.

It shoots great with the orginal recoil spring and a much heaver spring.
I've only shot 55 gr federal and yes, some russian junk laying around.
both shot the same accuracy. (4" group using irons at 100 yards)
I haven't put a scope on it yet. so no idea how much better my group
will become.

The Spikes lower fits the RRA .458 upper perfectly. No slop, no gaps.
Just in case you want to go with another upper for big game. :D
