Nope. It's a fine carbine and shooter with many satisfied and rave reviews.

The S&W is an excellent choice and so is the Colt, which I got.

Prices are all over the board so watch for sales.

Definitely use the recommended ammo, avoid Remington Golden Bullet.

One other thing. I dont like s&w in the least but the sw mp15-22 is the one i would get for a dedicated standalone 22lr ar15 pattern gun.

Are there any other 22lr carbines similar to this on that are worth picking up and I went and got a smith today can't wait to try it out, any accessories that are recommend thanks

Colt makes one thats a close second. Ruger has one but its just a dressed up 10/22. Cmmg makes one as does spikes tactical and a few others. But the mp is the best of the lot in my opinion.

Shoot it for at least 1000 rounds before you start thinking about add ons. Right now extra mags is prolly the best addition. Just cuz we say its good doesnt mean you will ultimately like it. Thats why you need to spend some time live fire before buying addons and modding it. Pretty stupid to buy a bunch of stuff for it before you know if you REALLY like or not

I have 3 mags for it and a shooters edge red dot which came with it and do you know the price of the carbine colt makes and does it come in any other caliber

Colt also makes ar15 chambered in .223/5.56/.308
