I do like my Sig very much. She's a sweet shooting gun, in my opinion.
And THAT is the opinion that matters. You enjoy it, it does what it is supposed to. End of problem.

Well that's all that matters! It's a quality little gun that's extremely easy to carry. Of course many of us would like a little more power but you pay for that with more size and weight. Bottom line, you have to choose what works for you, not what works for someone else.

BTW, Nutnfancy kinda likes the P238. His long review will cheer you up, WOC!

Dont let it bother ya too much its just my personal opinion. Their guns are still good just not the quality they used to be.

Itis like the ruger 10/22 still good gun but no wherenear the quality of the ones produced in the 80s much less the onesbefore that.

Thanks everyone. But I've decided I will skip this manufacturer and it's products as of these and other reviews I've read.

I go nuts listening to everyone's opinions. I try to make decisions.........as in .380 vs. 9 mm..........and there are as many opinions as there are shooters. I read one opinion and get convinced I know 'the facts' and then someone comes along and posts an opinion exactly opposite then I feel I made a mistake in my choice.
I've purchased 2 new Sig handguns in the last 2 years. Both were purchased new, and both were P-226's. One is a SCT Model, and the other is a Stainless Elite. The quality of both guns is superb. There is nothing at all wrong with the quality of manufacture of either.

If you listen to Internet opinion, there isn't a single gun manufacturer on the planet whose quality hasn't "gone downhill". If it were all true you would not be able to buy a new firearm anywhere that worked. Sig makes quality firearms. I personally don't care for their 1911 models only because I don't like 1911's with external extractors. With that said there is nothing wrong with their quality. Enjoy your new P-238.

Thanks. I think i'm gonna go Glock 19 gen 3 or 4 instead and I'll stick with the main name AR 15's. Daniel Defense, Spikes, BCM, LaRue, Noveske

Good choices! I think you'll like the G19, definitey handle them, compare with other 9mms and shoot one if possible. I have the G23, same gun but in 40S&W but also have the 40-9mm conversion barrel. Went Gen 4 and not sorry.

I've shot the 9mm Gen 4 Glock 17 and I loved it. Never owned a Glock but now I really want one.
