I don't care for the design of the AR. I know that puts me in the minority, but I don't care. I grew up with the Garand and M-14. One reason I got my Mini-14 is because of the general similarity. I rebarreled the Mini to get accuracy.
I have a 556 Classic. I am happy with it. I play with sights, but haven't had to do anything else to it. I am glad it takes the ubiquitous AR mags though.
