PS: I do like my LWRC's better but only a bit and they do cost almost half again as much

There is no play in the rail system, but like most ARs there is a very slight amount between the upper and lower. They are great guns. Like others have said, they are a little front heavy because of the piston. A lot of sig 516s require a break in period to be able to use steel ammo on the regular setting, but you can always open it up to the largest port if you really want to. Just dont do the largest port with regular or more powerful ammo. It will wear out the gun. Also, the irons on it are OK but not great.

The rail forend is tight. It is integral to the upper and not replaceable within the manual of arms. The sights on most 516 have been BU only. It is a flattop red dot ready.

I still rank the LWRC a little higher since the barrel isnt gov't cut and it has the NiCorr instead of chome lining. But the SIG certainly is more feature rich than the basic LWRC M6A2 and has the nicer lower.

I have never seen a Sig rifle in the LGS repair shop. The gunsmith owns one, he never repairs the. I did not buy one because I wanted the Hera Arms AR. German AR are extremely high quality and very accurate. I can only speak for the Sig though.
