DefaultShould I buy this?

My buddy wants to sell his AR and I am considering buying it. I think I will, but I guess I was just looking for some advice. It is a Bushmaster model XM15-E2s, it is a 20" fluted barrel and free float hand guards, it is susposed to be all match, all I can say is it shoots great and the trigger feels great. He has had it for about 10 years, but he has only shot it two times(both with me) it has a grand total of 70 rounds through it. It looks like new and shoots great, and he only wants what he paid for it 10 years ago, $800. I should buy this right?

I buy safe queens like this all the time. I strip them down, sell off the parts and build fighting rifles out of the leftovers (lower and stripped upper).

Its worth it for that.

No, you shouldn't buy it. You should give me his contact info so that I can give him hell for buying something like that.

Buy it. Sell your car if you have to.

That looks alot like a Bushmaster Varminter/Predator with the fluted barrel, but the forearm looks like the V Match. In any event, if the gun really does only have 70 rounds through it, you like the feel, how it shoots, etc....and at that price......buy it. Does it come as is with the scope? All the better if it does, but even without, that would still be a very good price. Even if you only ended up putting it in your safe for a while...who knows what will be available come the new Administration.

Well I went ahead and bought it. I may keep it, or another one of my best friends wants it, so either way it will stay in the family.
Oh BTW that is my scope on it, my buddy never put any optics on it, so when he came out here last week, I threw that scope on and we went and zeroed it. After all was said and done, I was shooting 3/4" groups at 100 yrds. using factory Federal ammo. I was happy with that.
