Default Shipping to FFL.

When you are buying ar-15 parts, which parts had to be shipped to an FFL? The upper, the lower, or both?

The lower. Anything with a serial #. Unless you get an unfinished lower such as a 80% lower .

Correct me if I'm wrong but an unfinished reciever is a reciever that is 80% complete or less. If that's the case you don't have to have it shipped to an FFL because it's "not a gun, it's a peice of metal".

I just did some reading.

As in not fully machined or not assembled?

Normally on an 80%, there is some machine work needing to be done.

Alright. Another quick question. Do all uppers fit with all lowers or do I have to find compatible parts?

AR parts are pretty much modular so they all fit together. There are some places where they don't but the upper and lower aren't one of them. The only thing you have to watch out for is the take down pins, Colt used a larger size then the rest of the world.

I must say, your av annoys me.

Why would they make things more complicated than it needs to be. C'mon man. Lol.

Thanks for the info though. It's much appreciated.
