an AR in NY has to have pinned stock, pinned muzzle device and no bayonet lug unless its pre '94.
if its pre ban, you probly have to have it documented that its pre ban.< but this is just a guess.
all firearms have to be sent to an ffl
call a FFL in NY and ask, they should be able to tell you.
