Default scopes for carry handles

Most of my m4's I put a carry handle on them. I don't have a scope yet but was kicking the idea around but want to be able to mount it to the top of the carry handle in a secure, quality manner. I also still want to be able to use the iron sights without having to take the scope off. Is this possible? Has anyone had any experience doing this? Any specific mounts recommended? I figure this is the place to ask.....

Israel does it with their M16s with a Mepro m21 sight. Trijicon also makes a sight mount for a reflex sight up top on the handle.

as well as all the other off brands

What I like about the Mepro type mount is the scope sits forward of the handle, so it sits lower, and you are cowitnessing through the iron sights. The ones that ride on top sit higher up above the gun barrel, and makes the cheekpiece no so much of a rest.

That's the same set up I had on my military issue one... It worked well

I put one of these on my Armalite AR10 so I can co-witness my iron sights through my Aimpoint Comp M2. Since the AR10 has a larger carry handle, I had to drill out the mounting hole to line up with the hole on the carry handle. This setup works great with an Aimpoint due to the eye relief but I haven't found a scout type scope with enough eye relief to work with the scope being that far away from my eyes.
