Scope mount

I'm looking for a good sturdy mount that will hold zero when it's removed. It will go on a flat top. Any recommendations or ones to avoid?

I'm happy with my Burris AR-P.E.P.R. (Proper Eye Position Ready) Mount.

The Burris PEPR is a reliable choice that is quite popular among AR users.

I used the Rock River 1-piece Cantilever mount myself. It's rugged, solid and holds zero perfectly even after being dismounted and re-installed. If price is a concern, it's a few bucks less than the PEPR. It also comes in a 30mm size other than 1" for the same price.

In the 1" size the RRA mount weighs 9.7 oz. and the Burris PEPR is 8.9 oz.

My vote is for LaRue Tactical.

They offer several types of mounts depending on the type of optic you are interested in mounting.

In my case, I have an LT-104 SPR with VFZ mounts for my Trijicon AccuPoint 3-9x40 on a dedicated hunting rig in 6.8 SPC.

Plus, you get the neat extras in every shipment, like Dillo Dust and stickers!
