S&W M&P15 or Rock River Arms

I looking at trading with a couple of dealers for an AR. One has a S&W MOE and the other has a R R A Entry Tactical. The R R A has the upgraded chrome lined barrel. I'm looking for a range/plinking gun that I could also hunt a few coyotes with. Any thoughts?

I used to have an M&P15 and loved it!! But I recently traded sold it (Saturday) and bought a RRA Operator. I can't tell you how the RRA shoots yet since I haven't hit the range yet but I can tell you is I didn't have a single hiccup with the S&W

FYI this would be my first AR.

That's what the Smith was to me. I know a lot of my local LEOs are carrying them in their patrol cars as well

Neither would be my first choice but of your two, S&W.

The only thing I don't like about the S&W M&P 15 is the absence of forward assist and the ejection port cover, other than that they are pretty solid

That's only on the sport model. The moe and OR versions have the dust cover and forward assist

I thought he was talking about the Smith & Wesson M&P15 MOE Edition, anyway, this is the one I meant (with FA).
