Do magpul not make lowers anymore? Sorry for the ignorance but I know they rock but what makes them so expensive?

From what i understand they are lowers that are not sold, however they are gifted to people that magpul likes, thus the Demand is huge while the supply is tiny, making them expensive

The china doll doesn't interest me beyond the fact that it is a Magpul, and ultra rare, in fact, Magpul no longer makes them, even for people as gifts. They have literally stopped production completely on the line.
