ill try and get some groups with a scope. but i didnt get it for mounting optics. the carry handle mount with my huge 4.5x14 leupold is a little tall even for my tastes.

All Rock Rivers and most good NM Rifles today come with a crush washer and I am glad they do! Peel washers went out with Noah and the Ark! The last thing I would want on one is a Daaam Peel Washer!. There is not torque specifications on the crush washer and besides how much does a new crush washer cost!

they dont cost much. but one peel washer properly peeled you dont have to order more if you change the hider or remove it to get a good cleaning on the crown

if you run a suppressor on occasion you dont have to constantly carry a zillion peel washers around

To maybe help some of our friends here on the Forum, you are correct! They need to know if you ever remove a Crush Washer never reinstall it if you ever plan on taking it OFF again or I guess you could if you HATE the guy who will be taking it off the next time. Once it is removed it must be thrown away or you will have to cut it off the next time without damaging the threads on the barrel or damaging the finish on the barrel. Unfortunately I have had to cut several off for other guys in the past. It is kind of a tedious little task. If anyone is interested in the future I can post a thread on the way I do that?

Take Care & God Bless America!

I think that would be a good addition to the ar15 section. Suppressors and flash hiders of various types are very popular not everyone knows how to properly apply crush washers and their limitations
