Good choice on the sights both Lony and Scubie, I concur with what JD said about "one is none" and backups.
Also, think about this, y'all may not agree with this, but your rifle is a great close quarters, back-up defensive weapon for striking an assailant as it is to fire at him. This also depends on what stock you have mounted, before you put it up side someones head or neck, or thrust the barrel muzzle into the neck, stomach, sides, groin or back. Just a thought.

BUIS= Back Up Iron Sights

How do you like the Plastic Magpul sites Lon? Seem pretty rugged?

Yeah, real rugged. And the black ones LOOK like iron sights. They were cheaper than most rear BUIS I've seen.
My only complaint is that the windage is a bee - otch to adjust. The adjustment knob is VERY stiff....almost can't be done without a tool, or gloved fingers at the very least. |
