ctshooter, if the rear flip up you are asking about is going to be a back up sight in case of battery failure then I would suggest the ARMS 71 Polymer rear sight. If you are going to be using the rear sight extensively then I like the Diamindhead sight.

If you're going with a RDS soon then you might as well go with the MBUS. Cheap, light, good and strong. Also if it's folded down most of the time light weight is the most important feature. Still if you ever need it, it will work fine. All my ARs have one. The diamond aperture is nice but I'm so used to the round aperture I don't want to change now. If it works for you then sure, go for it.

I run a Troy Di-optic rear with Troy M4 front sight I love the diamond shape rear, the points allow u to line up ur sights just a little quicker.

My .02¢

Yep, kind of like some of the Duplex or German type reticles on an optic.

Default not an answer but a question i have too

I recently bought a DPMS. it has a FSGB and a detachable rear carry handle sight. I am wondering if a flip up rear sight will work with the original post sight out front or do i need to change it? I am very new to the weapon and dont really know. I do plan to add optics so having the smaller flip up sight there as a backup would be nice if my optics fail or i decide to remove.

thanks
