Where did you order it from? Do you know if they offer it in FDE?

I don't think they are available in FDE from the factory. Nothing a little duracoat shake-n-spray won't fix if you really want FDE though.

I think the 15" would look nice on a 16". Like a long slinky dress over a nice set of gams, with just a little ankle peeking out the bottom.....
AS for quality, the troy has a bit of a crinkle finish on it, the MI is smooth. The MI SS Gen 2 and VTac models look similar in pictures, but when put side by side to one another the MI is noticeably/visually slimmer. I wear extra large gloves (usually) and MI just feels better in hand. Overall quality can only be told with the test of time, and I no longer have my Vtac (traded it). Honestly the MI is lighter and thinner, it may not last as long or withstand as much abuse as the Troy, but it installs tight, nary a wiggle. Also, it ships with a standard barrel nut and a bunch of attachments, rail pieces and qd swivel socket rail section for a sling, which was nice surprise. The machining work and overall visual quality of machining on the MI was very nice. I am planning 15" for a 20 or 18" spr build...eventually....someday, soon hopefully.

Yes i agree sir. The MI SS finish is so smooth. It's light!
I decided to get the 12" over my 16" barrel.
