Question for the gunsmiths

I just installed a new Battle Comp compensator and was wondering something. This comp needs to be clocked with the BCE logo facing at 6:00 o'clock. It took me awhile to get it set correctly using shims and a crush washer.

I was only able to snug it down about 1/4 turn after finger tightening it. My question is, is that enough or should I get some more shims and try getting it to turn more? It is pretty snug on there, but don't want it to vibrate off.

The only way to know for sure is to shoot it a few hundred rounds and check the tension. If it holds, it holds.

It should be enough for secure of the barrel/comp.

1/4 turn tight is plenty. If you are in doubt, re-install using a small amount of "Blue" Locktight. Any more than a quarter turn and you are over torqueing it..........

Thanks everybody, its at least 1/4 turn so I think I will be ok. I will go out as soon as I can and put it thru its paces

Thanks again
