Question during building process

I will be building my SLR tonight, and the question I have while doing it is, do I need to be lubing these parts as I am putting it together?

What about when I am putting it together with the Upper?

Do I just need to use CLP? Or is there something else you guys recommend?

Thanks

i dont think it would hurt the gun if you oiled it while you put it together.
the worst that might happen is when you shoot it everything might become oily

You are fine to assemble most parts without additional oiling. The upper and lower match up don't need oil.

The Bolt Carrier Group needs to be well lubed. A little on the buffer and buffer spring is good, but not absolutely necessary.

A very light touch on the hammer and spring is a good idea, but don't hit it with excessive anything ( soap, oil, filing, sanding. or any other form of love ). ;)

You'll be fine, just follow the build instructions and everything will go together just like you plan.
