Range $15 to $50 per transaction.

Average $25 to $35 per transaction.

A lot depends on your relationship with the LGS, are you a good customer that checks with them first? I had a PSA lower shipped to my LGS, but I purchased a Rock River lower parts kit at the store. The LGS normally charges $50 for a transfer, but did mine for $25.

My LGS gets $50 for a transfer. When I originally asked them about my .45 (that I was mail ordering), they offered to match the price of the mail order and split the difference on the FFL xfr. That worked out well for everyone.

Just recently I bought my AR-15 from them and asked about an FFL service for my PSA $50 lower, and they said they'd do it for free with the purchase of said AR. So I'd prenegotiated a fair price for that weapon and then got another $50 off, if you want to look at it that way.

The PSA should be here today or tomorrow (or at least sometime this week!)

The FFL's usually charge a nominal fee for their involvement in the transaction, depending on who it is.
Every Bass Pro Shop I have been to sells guns, so I would have to say yes.

BTW - I think it costs an FFL $5 for the background check. They earn the rest with all the paperwork and crap...plus a little profit.

This varies by state, the Feds. do not charge a fee. WI charges $35 for a handgun background check, which is in addition to the Fed's. check. No extra fee for a long gun or an other (e.g. stripped lower).

I believe FL charges $5 for all checks. Some states don't charge at all.
