Default Production AR 10?

Interested in an AR 10...

Normally I'd build one, and I still might, but I'm interested in finding out who makes a good production AR 10...

I know POF makes some top notch stuff?
Anyone else?
Who has bought a complete AR 10?
Who makes it?
How has it performed for you?
How much did you pay for it? (if you don't mind sharing)

Looking for specific models that are above average AR 10s.

Anyone fired a Nemo Arms AR 10?

I have only seen one of the S&W 's, At SHOT. It was very smooth, but with a Scope it was over 10 lbs....with that kind of weight and a Battle load expect to cut corners in other places to reduce what you carry.

I purchased a new Armalite AR10 Super SASS in 2008 and have enjoyed it. It shoots sub MOA with M118 or Federal GMM 168gr. In over 5,000 rounds I have never had a failure of any kind. I've done 90% of the shooting suppressed. I acquired magazines for it @ 10 for $200 during one of Armalite's frequent sales.

Mine is one of the early examples with a 1:11.25 twist barrel and no forward assist.

Here is a typical 10 round group produced at 100 yards. As you can see ATC 0.413 MOA, even with the flyer. The flyer is my own. This group was done with a cold bore before any sight-in adjustments were made. As the barrel heats up the POI shifts about 0.25MOA.

Is the case of bottled water for long range shooting? I use empties and fill them up with food colored water....

Most frequently I'm shooting steel plate at 600 yrds, paper at 1,000yrds and clays at 200 & 300 yrds.

Over the last couple years I've been migrating away from .308 to 6mm and these rifles don't see much range time anymore.

A few years back i was looking for a good solid 308 semi. I looked at all the manufacturers. I found three that might work out larue obr colt le901 and scar17.

The scar 17 was the only one that really fit my needs. Lightweight ultra reliable 1-12 twist capable of running suppressed without blowback gasses accurate lots of aftermarket addons.

If i was going to get something that wasnt my scar17 i would get the colt le901.

I have a number of 308 AR's. In order of accuracy and reliability.
Larue OBR
HK MR762
POF P-308 if you can find a good one.
DPMS SASS and SIG 716
Armalite AR10A4 but needed to switch factory trigger which was the heaviest trigger on any weapon I have ever owned to a Geissele SSA-E before I could get decent groups (1 moa) out of it.
