they arent needed on rifle length gas systems the barrel im getting doesnt have em the extra expense to do it serves no purpose. with m4 reciever cuts im restricted to m4 barrels in the future. without them in the reciever i can use any barrel.
ill call krieger tomorrow morning about the fluting. should look good with it bead blasted and fluted.

Talked to krieger on friday morning. They said it was being cut for the chamber and it shouldnt be a problem to flute and he would call back if it was. So far no call.
Ordered a timney 3lb skeletonized trigger and some miscellaneous parts including a dpms buffer and recoil spring!! omg dpms in a precision rifle im not sure the world will continue to spin lol

some more parts showed up today. namely the dpms buffer and recoil spring, lpk (rra), bcm mod0 grip, bcm large gunfighter charging handle, accushot mono pod (hopefully it will be useful but you cant go prs without a monopod!!), troy industries trigger guard (its got all eounded edges) and timney 3lb skeletonized trigger
the kns pins should be here tomorrow. i really dont like the set screw solution timney uses for keeping the trigger and hammer pins in place so the kns will solve that. im really impressed with the timney however the trigger pull is simply amazing. ive only tried one once before and i liked it a lot but now that ive spent some time dryfiring it its just awesome.
some pics so far...

oh, one other thing i forgot to add. when i ordered the barrel krieger i asked kriger if i needed to send the bolt in to them. they said not neccessary if i use a milspec bolt. i told em i was using a bcm bolt and they said it was a perfect choice for their barrels as there is nothing they really need to do and i would be paying shipping for no real gain when using a good milspec bolt like bcm.
