Everyone realizes that in the whole of the US there are only about 4 companies producing lower receiver billets, right? Just about every commercial gun out there has a lower purchased as a blank from one of those 4. Likewise any design you wish may be purchased as a stamp via Ebay, or engraved on to the receiver (for a fee) by one of the laser engrave shops.

Even the Colt horse can be nicely lifted with fingerprint powder/large tape (available from Sirchie) then transferred as a pattern for a laser or CNC machine to follow. If you do the work before an 80% build is machined, then of course stamping in the fire and safe is easy. Likewise, a tight fit solid dummy magazine would allow stamping of the magazine well area without stressing it from flex.

Would putting a Colt or Armalite stamp on a blank 80% receiver be a copyright infringement? Yes, probably. But if never sold, then probably not. LoL
