Default picked up an ar from a buddy looking 4 info

So a buddy of mine ordered an ar15 without telling his wife ..tsk ...tsk needless to say she said get it the hell out.

So I bought it for 375$.. he payed 675$ shipped for it..

So here's. What I know about it.. has a del-ton upper.. plum crazy lower ( which I plan on replacing)

The barrel has dti stamped on the top but idk anymore about that..

I was wanting to know how to find out what trigger and other internals were inside of it..

I know that this is basically a base (cheap) ar.

Its my first ar. So I'm looking to find as much information about this rifle as possible. This will most likely just be my tooling around plinking rifle...
Hopefully once I shoot this I will enjoy this enough to possibly invest in a lerue Or colt ar15

Thanks for any input

Its not a high end gun but I think it was a hell of an investment for you for $375 . push the back pin out, break it down and snap a shot of the trigger guts , but Im sure they are probably just standard Plum crazy LPK . DTI barrel is Del-Ton Inc.
Good buy if you ask me
Those pretzels come with the deal

The pretzles did come with the deal.. I will snap a pick tomorrow.. I broke it down once already the hammer is plastic (which I don't like) so it is most likely standard plum crazy. But I will still post a picture in the morning..

I've lurked the forum for the past few days and it seems that the general consensus. Is that the plum crazy lower is. A meh cheap pos some say decent lower.

I'm not big on the plasticish material so I plan on finding a better well reviewed lower for it..

As far as I can tell the del-ton upper seems to be well reviewed by ppl that have used/have one. No its not top of the line but seems to be a reliable upper.

So ... what's everyone else's opinion of what I posted above

Yup sounds like the Plum Crazy LPK in it , The upper will be just fine but I might suggest a $79 and a $49 LPK from PSA to replace the lower with , hell sell it for $75 and your half way there

it should be marked on the barrel if not, go to Del-Ton's website and look up the specs on the upper and it should be listed.

For $375 you can't really go wrong as long as it functions. Great attitude as well.

I'm guessing it's a 1:9 twist non chrome lined w/ a commercial receiver extension but would double check on the chamber. Hopefully it's 5.56.

It is not chrome lined and is chambered for a 5.56..
As long as it shoots "reliably" ill be happy as well

I'm getting more interested in actually building my own sub 1k$ ar..

This forum is a wealth of knowledge to me..
