Under coat was kahki tan, the i cut faux sponge up into small squares so you can get into tight spots. The next color was kahki brown, then just a little black. It took me all of 30 minutes to do the entire gun. It was 114 degrees outside when I painted.

Just since I'm very noob at painting firearms, can I only do the steel upper of my FiveseveN or would this work on the polymer lower as well? And can I get some ideas for what would look good on it? I've always liked the OD green upper and black lower, but seeing all these bada$$ patterns is making my mind wander lol...

The krylon paint I used has stuck to everything. Steel, aluminum, plastic and hard rubber. I did wipe every thing down with acitone.

Practice your pattern first, and follow the paints drying instructions.
My gun stunk for a month. It will feel dry but it is still curing. A hair dryer will help with drying.

Okay. Also, since I don't exactly have a bipod on my handgun...what's a good way to "mount" it during the work and curing period? I can't think of anything.
I bought the paint this morning!
