paint strippers

Anyone know of any strong paint strippers that can be used on metal and plastic. I've been thinking of painting my ar-15 with cerakote or gunkote and i need a good stripped for the metal and plastic parts.

Chemically, SOME plastics are not that different from SOME paints.

What eats up one, eats up the other.

Do you need paint stripper, or a degreaser?

The plastic would be the buttstock and pistol grip. I just need to remove the original finish from all parts that will be coated. Sand blasting would probably be best unfortunately I don't have a cabinet right now so I was wandering if any strippers would do the job.

Don't use chemical stripper on plastic. It will eat the finish up. Even a mild stripper will do so.. I recommend cleaning, degreasing, then scuffing the plastic lightly with sand paper.

I am thinking about taking body paint to the local titty bar.
