Under $200- Vortex Strikefire or Sparc. B-grade optics at a D+ price. Great value.

$400- Aimpoint pro

Magnified- Depends on your tastes. Nikon is a good option in my opinion.

there are so many optics choices. and many good ones have been listed here. decide what you want it to be capable of, and determine your max cost. a good nikon scope can be had under 300. or a good RDS for 400 and less. then theres always a true acog.

If you intend to shoot for accuracy a red dot will disappoint you. I sold my Aimpoint ML3 and EoTech 552.A65 because of the groups I was getting at 100 yards. Imo you would be better revered by the Vortex 1-4X variable or the 2.5-10X. At 1X the 1-4 can be used like a red dot and 4x for longer ranges up to 200 yards.

I bought a Bushnell TRS-25 for $75 has been a great optic for me so far no problems at all.
