Default Optics suggestions?

I have a mbus rear but looking for a good optic, the one on it is already gone because it was a piece, can't be too expensive! Any suggestions?imageuploadedbyfirearms-talk1395536659.285664.jpg

The AR carbine is really for standing, kneeling, or moving, rather than sitting in a chair. Get a red dot with an integral evevated base, such as the Aimpoint Pro (I paid $400-some). I wouldn't spend 4-digit sums of money.

Cabela's has it on sale too. On an AR, I think it will need a riser.

There's a lot of 3-9X40 scopes out there now,

which are pretty good. Leupold and Nikon make good stuff,

for .223/5.56, you may be able to get by with Pentax,

Bushnell, or Redfield.

Remember, cheap hookers and optics; it's usually a warning...

Don't buy the Vortex StrikeFire or the Sparc YET!! Cos they are releasing both Gen 2 models soon.
Once they released them, most probably the current models will be on sale everywhere.
If you can't wait, PSA always have them for good deals. StrikeFire for $99 while the Sparc usually for $120.
For Aimpoint.. i love my PRO and T1.

No riser are needed for the one from PSA plus they have free shipping this weekend. And yes the vortex gen 3 is coming out shortly but I doubt this one will be much less than what it is

What about Eotech XPS-2? Can be found for about $475. US made and tough as heck. Focused at infinity and works with both eyes open.
