If you are going to build make sure to get your bolt and barrel from the same people and matched to each other. Ask your supplier what his headspace tolerances are. If he tells you that he headspaces within 1/1000th of minimum then you can be sure that you are dealing with a great barrel maker. Also go ahead and build it with a free floated barrel. A free floated AR with a precisely headspaced barrel made from a good blank will shoot great no matter what else goes on it... I happen to be a fan of white oak armament in this area.

My preference in ar15 is built myself from handpicked parts or bravo company. Ive got some noveske in my precision ar15 but for high end you can roll a better one cheaper than a name brand
Have you ever owned a Wilson Combat rifle?

OP, if it's off the shelf your looking for you can buy many different guns but you'll always ask yourself if you should have bought the Noveske. My opinion is there are three manufacturers that have the absolute best manufacturing and build the best duty AR's, BCM, LMT and Knights Armament. Noveske sees this same quality and raises it with a near perfect stainless barrel that you can run like a duty weapon (please don't) and never worry. In the AR world there are duty weapons and precision weapons, very few do both and even less do both consistently. After that you can build anything, beaters, precision guns, anything you can imagine but that Noveske will always be special.

I'm going to write Noveske and ask for my commission check now.

Damn grave diggers. If the OP hasn't built it in the last 3 years, he probably won't.

Noveske is very hard to beat. I have 2, an N4 Afghan with the monolithic receiver and SS barrel the other an N4 Recce with the MUR receiver. The Afghan is my favorite AR 15 carbine. The N4 Reece a close 2nd.
