Noveske

Hey guys, I'm purchasing a Noveske barrel and was wondering what length to get. Anywhere from 11" to 22"

16" is about the standard anything less than 16" total will make it a short barreled rifle and you will have to jump thru all the hoops for the $200 tax stamp and the 6 month wait . What is your intended use ?

Are you wanting to go through all of the paperwork to do a registered short barreled rifle and pay the $200 tax stamp?

If not then you need to stay above 16" total barrel length or have a permanently attatched muzzle device that brings it to legal length.

Length of the barrel depends a lot on the type of shooting that you plan to do mostly with that rifle.

A 16 inch carbine makes for nicer portability, weight and ballance, but you can get a bit more velocity and stability out of a longer barrel if you are looking at shooting longer ranges.

I'm looking for it for tactical purposes.

I would stick with 16" it's simply not worth going through all the paper work to go any shorter unless you are 100% sure/completely sold on that being what you want.

Go with either 14.5" with a pinned muzzle device or a 16". If you go 14.5", give the muzzle device serious thought because once it is pinned, it will cost you much more to change your mind. I am an Authorized Noveske Dealer, so if you aren't set on a particular place to get the barrel or upper from, feel free to contact me and I will help you out. I do not have any Noveske barrels in stock, but I can order them. PM me for a very competitive price quote.

I'd go with an 8" 300 BLK, but I love SBR's.
