on my rra nm a2 upper the front sight is the 4 prong style but i cant get my 4 prong skinny front sight tool to fit the sight its too wide to fit tween the ears of the sight base. even getting it past the ears if i was able to there is no room in the two slots on the sight the prongs to fit in.

ive never come across that before. ill just use a bullet tip to adjust the sight. just wondering if anyone else has had a sight tool not fit.

Sure have! Sometimes it is that the forging has some tolerance issues. You can always dress the Inside of the Wings with a fine file and touch up the finish. The second is the thickness of the front sight tool walls. Have you tried another sight tool. Some have thinner walls than others. I have seen several of these in the past years. You might call RRA and advise of your problem. They Front Sights Housings are put on by their barrel supplier, who obviously purchases them from their supplier who no doubt sells to many AR Manufacturers. That's why the problem is not brand specific

Its a moot point now i took it out this afternoon and i was getting about 2.5 inches at 200 yards iron sights with the rear sight up 12 clicks it was half inch low. Since i want a 200 yd zero with some room to drop to 100 or 50 im good to go. I didnt have much time as i got to the range shortly before closing.

Its definately a shooter with tosstogether ammo.
