DefaultNew SUR Addition

I Picked myself up a new AR this afternoon. Working with a limited Budget I bought a Nice Del-Ton. The company is NC based just 45 miles up the road from me and was started by former LEO's so figured it be worth me giving my money to them. I feel this will be a good start.
I was only able to get one photo before it fell out into the Cape Fear river as I crossed the bridge on my way home. So here it was. Sorry for Pic Quality.

What a tragic loss.

If it were not sinking to the bottom, what were your plans for it? Losing the front post sight, getting a set of BUIS and free floating the fore end? Or what?

Too bad about your loss. Looks like you had a nice stick there....

I was open to suggestions, for the budget conscience person, will still take them for the next time though.

Well, if that rifle came into the shop and the owner asked what would I do to increase it's ability to put rounds on target.....

I would suggest a free floated fore end, that will increase accuracy right out of the gate.

I would suggest the 15 minute trigger job, or I would suggest changing out the trigger if target/varmint shooting was in order.

I would suggest dumping that ramp sight and removing that carry handle, getting a good heads up scope for CQB or a scope for target shooting, then getting a set of back up iron sights, just in case.

A good sling if this is your SHTF weapon. I really like a good two point sling myself.

Some good magazines and a few other special tricks, you would be good to go.

You know, if you still had the weapon. Damn shame brother....

Damn shame, Shihan.

Oh, well save up for a just as nice one for the next time.

What were you hopin to use it for, mostly? Target or varmant or both? Too bad that river does not run north or I would wait on it so I could dispense some yotes with it.

See, now I am thinking of going that direction instead of a new pistol direction, so curse you! *shaking fist*

Very nice.. sorry for your loss that Cape Fear claims a lot of things..

BTW between you and me.. I was raised in Elizabethtown my family has been there for many years. Oh, to re-live those summers on White Lake where we all tied our boats togeather in the center of the lake and had such fun, after someone made a run to Fayetville for beer as Bladen county was dry of course.

If I had that stick, the first thing to go would be that A2 grip.

Take a look at the Hogue 15000

or Ergo Sure Grip

for an instant low cost upgrade!
