New scope needs mounts
I'm satisfied with my scope that i used on the SCAR-17. I just can't seem to find it online again. So i might be looking for a similar mount for under $75.

your help is appreciated

You don't need to mount it with 2" risers, with a 3x and beyond scope the FSB won't show at even 1". Have you looked at the Burris P.E.P.R or RRA cantilevers?

You read my mind. If i can't find the same one, i'll go with the RRA.
The Hi-Lux is a heavy tube. the RRA will hold it just fine on a 5.56? 385
AR0131 || RRA Hi-Rise Scope Mount, 30mm Rings || $50 (price is right)

From the picture it looks like it's not quite as black as the SSALT.
Then again it doesn't seem to have their freakin' logo stamped every
chance they could fit. (Thanks for turning my gun into a nascar SWFA)

I don't have the RRA, instead the PEPR which is plenty strong for a large scope. Others here do have the RRA and I've heard good reports, plus it's cheaper than the Burris and made in the USA.

+1 on the Pepr, heard nothing but good things about it, and its in your price range......

I use the RRA cantilever mount. Buy it direct from RRA ,Its cheaper there than from venders.

My FFL is telling me that he has a Safariland in stock.

No idea how quality that brand is. The mount looks good and light-weight.

About $100!!! hrm. scope = $310... mount $100...
does that make sense?

Safariland is an old and trusted name in the firearms industry. Their primary business is top end holsters and body armor for law enforcement, but I can't imagine that they would put their name on anything that wasn't top end.
