Ok, I got everything I needed. Watch a few video's on "youtube"
to make sure I put it together correctly, and headed off to the range.
I only shot 7 rounds, and man was it fun. I read somewhere, maybe here,
to shoot 5 rounds, clean it, shoot 10 rounds, clean it again, shoot 25 rounds,
clean it again. Shoot 100 rounds, and clean it to break it in... is this a rule of thumb,.. or just a suggestion? One more question... my cleaning brush for the barrel did not seam like it would fit, I did not want to just shove it in there and damage anything... I heard some people just run a bore snake down the barrel or thick shoe lace.. How do you guys do it?

Thanks and I will be posting pics real soon.

Mostly, it's a suggestion.

Hoppes #9 on a 1"x1" cleaning pad on the end of the cleaning rod. Repeat 'til the pad comes out very nearly white.

(Make sure you clean the rest of the rifle, too, of course. Use Q-tips, cleaning pads, clean rags, etc. as necessary.)

Bore snakes work well, but it can be a real pain to clean them afterward.

My RRA AR-15 was lapped at the factory and the manual said no barrel break in required. My DPMS suggested cleaning after EVERY round for the first 25 rounds, and then once after every 10 rounds up to 100 rds. fired. The barrel will take approx. 200 rds before broken in.
