Default New Guy Here...My New AR-15

Just figured I'd say hi to everyone. I just purchased my first AR-15 last week and just got done putting the finishing touches on it tonight. It took me a while to figure out exactly what I wanted and how I wanted it. I am still trying to think of what I can do next, but I'm out of ideas for now. That, and I had to reach pretty deep into my pockets for everything already

I've always wanted an AR-15, especially considering I grew very fond of my M-16 while I was active duty in the military. I just never pulled the trigger and purchased one. Last week I came across the perfect opportunity to snatch up a nice AR-15 at a great price. And now I have spent just as much on accessories as I did the dang gun itself

Anyways, here are a few pics of the finished product.....let me know what you guys think...

Oh, almost forgot. Here's what I added....

EOTECH 517 Holographic Sight
UTG Swatforce 150 Lumen LED Tactical Flashlight w/Pressure Switch
NcStar Green Laser Sight
Various rails/misc items

Looks great bro. I really dig the Magpul hand-guards and stock. For me I don't like a laser mounted on the bottom of hand-guard. I gets in the way. Command arms makes rings with Picitinny mounts on 3 sides that you could use to mount your light with, then attach the laser to the rigs holding the light.

Just something to think about.

Enjoy your new toy.

Yeah, I don't care much for the bottom mounted laser either. It'll be getting changed fairly soon. I may try out your suggestion.

Just fixed the laser position problem. I went ahead and mounted it on top of the barrel. I didn't do it before because I thought it would block the EOTECH sight. But it actually mounted quite well, with very minimal interference.

Good looking stick you've got. I've never been a fan of anything but black furniture but that looks good.

Nice AR you got there. When you take it to the range take some pics and give us a range report as well.
Welcome to the forums.

Yeah, I usually like all black. But it worked out really good. I will likely change out the grip for an ergonomic one and will also add a foregrip. I'm heading back to the gun store today.

I won't get a chance to zero it in until the weekend. If not then, it'll be another couple weeks. I'm only going to be home on weekends starting next week through the end of October.
