Hi all,

I just got my new BushMaster AR-15 20"
Anything special i should do to "break" it in?
I was also fortunate to pick up a new Ruger Mini-14 All weather w/ stainless.
I can't wait to get to the ranch to fire these babies.

On the Bushy. If it is a chrome bore, Just lube it, shoot it and clean it. If it is a non chrome bore, shoot one, clean bore etc for first 20 shots or so.

OK, here are the pix.

Model: AZ-C15R20

It has the new Carbon 15 receivers with the new upper that has a forward assist and ejection cover that people have been requesting. It is an A3 model with a detachable aluminum forging carry handle. It has a chrome lined 20" A2 Government profile barrel with bayonet lug and A2 bird cage suppressor. A standard A2 trap door buttstock is installed.

Love mine but I'd suggest staying away from the cheap steel case ammo. Tends to wear down the lower locking lug on AR's as it's striping the top round out of the mag. I'd be interested to know your thoughts on the Carbon lower. Mine's traditional aluminum and I've heard mixed results, good and bad, about the durability of Carbon guns.

Oh, and you have a bunch of that cheap steel cased .223, your Ruger should chew threw them just fine.

Agree !! But those mini's are fun plinkers too ! When a 200 yard shot is needed, I'd take the 20" AR first..
