I just caught a window when BCM had an M16 BCG for sale, so I ordered it. Should be coming in soon.

Yeah, and they got a really tight window to order. They are usually gone in 15-30 minutes.

Should be good. It's not advertised as MPI but quite a few come marked M or MP on the bolt. It's faint but you can make it out if you wipe the oil off. Mine was marked M opposite of the extractor.

This isn't about a BCG but I did just receive my PSA upper in just now and I am in love... The thing is AWESOME! 14.7" mid-length with 11" SQR free floated quad rail with a Vortex Strikefire

Got my BCM BCG saturday. Now to build an AR around it.

I have no idea if its proprietary but it's rock solid and light as crap! I'm definitely a fan of it. It also has two quick detach sling mounts on each side
