Default New AR trigger issue... input appreciated...

Ok, some of you may remember that I ordered a complete lower and a complete upper from PSA.

Both parts finally arrived and went together as smoothly as one would expect. Today I finally got some range time and experienced an issue with the trigger.

When I fire a round and follow through on the trigger (hold it back) the trigger does not reset. If I jiggle the safety lever or even the pin that holds the trigger assembly it will reset.

It does not do this unless you hold the trigger back after you fire it. Yes I'm sure I could call PSA and they pick it up and fix it and return it... but it seems like its probably a simple fix and I don't want the hassle of all the shipping and stuff.

If you need more information just ask. Thank in advance!

RJ

Contact psa. Something is out of spec. Hard to diagnose via text alone.

Check to see if the trigger spring is even in there ... I've seen this happen before and low and behold, the guy forgot to install his trigger spring.

Are your trigger pins in all the way. They didn't work loose did they?

Make sure the connector spring is in there and seated all the way down in the trigger .

Check all your springs. It almost sounds like somebody either forgot to put in a Spring or a Spring isn't properly installed.
This is one of those, get a good Diagram of the Lower Trigger Group and take everything apart, inspect, and reinstall---unless broken. Go from there.

Input from another forum said that the hook on the disconnect was too sharp and was hanging up... poster said he had the same problem... just work the trigger (with the lower separated from the upper) and it should smooth out.

So I took FCG apart and polished everything a tad, then put it back together and worked the trigger about 50 times and it is working correctly... a couple of hundred rounds downrange when I get the chance, then I'll pull it apart and look again.

Thanks for everyone's input!

RJ
