I was at work so no pictures at the moment. I'll see what I can do.

My suppressor arrived at the dealer and I'm heading there soon with $200. The dealer does some ceracoating so I was thinking of coating the rifle. It would be in the budget if I don't get an Aimpoint.

I saw the pliers technique when I was building it but it said that was the alternative and not the preferred way. I used lots of tape but the brass hammer went through all three layers and marred up the receiver on one strike.

I myself use duct tape on the side for the bolt catch pin. Works like a charm. But you can't unswing that hammer! I am very careful with each hammer swing because I am a perfectionist and can't live with a nicked up reciever.

Hope my pictures upload ok. Here is the almost finished project. The QD flash suppressor was just picked up today and I don't have a vise block to help crank the current one off.
Form 4's were mailed off today. Now the long wait on suppression.

Total cost was right around $1400 for the build minus suppressor.

WELL NOW, just like you I tried the brass hammer way my first time out, nicked up my receiver. Then I tried the squeeze technique, haven't looked back.

My friend with a few build in him WAS a die hard hammer man, till he broke his receiver putting in the roll pin for his trigger guard. Changed his mind real quick.

PS I'm super jealous of your supressor.....more supressor pron plz.
PPS adjustable jaw >>> pliers
PPPS nice mags! where's you get them?

I have a picture of the can but it has the serial # visible so I'll have to edit it. It is a very nice silver YHM Phantom Ti. It felt heavy in my hand for a ti can so I'm glad I didn't get SS!
The mags are Magpul. I used camo spray paint and layers of vegetation to get that design. It is not that durable and scrapes off fairly easily. I painted a 22 the same way. I used OD green, FDE and coyote tan. It looks pretty sweet with my sparrow at the end. I'll get a picture later.
