need scope
I just got a stag AR 15 looking for the best scope for long and short range shooting around $200.00 can anyone help

Welcome to the forum. Could you swing by INTRODUCTIONS and introduce yourself to the forum.
This scope should do you fine in your price range, I had one earlier on and it worked fine for me when I was starting out. YMMV.
There are lots of other brand choices and more expensive glass out there to choose from that will have better optics, but this is a good midrange scope.

actually that Nikon Team Primos scope w/ free jacket is really a very good deal...considering they are putting in a Nikon Monarch scope for under $200, normally quite a bit more, and you get that free camo jacket (assuming you can wear an XL). 3-9x, should cover most of what you are looking at pretty well.
Oh...and like cane said, the deal is available from SWFA

That deal no longer shows up on the link Cane gave us...?
I was looking at it myself yesterday....and I couldn't see anything that said "Monarch."
