Get the lightweight. You won't be doing enough fast paced shooting or door prying to benefit from a heavy and you will appreciate the difference in weight. Almost everyone on here prefers lightweight. There's a reason.

I agree. I bought LW Daniel Defense and BCM and never looked back. Many others have gone LW as well.

I'd only recommend a heavy barrel if you are bench shooting and going for itty bitty groups, or if you plan on using the rifle in a fire support role (mag dumps!).
For most intended uses a lightweight or medium contours is the best choice.

It just depends on how much you want to spend on sights, since your getting a dd I would assume that money is not a huge issue with that being said you can go with troy flip ups for around 199 for a set you can get them with tritium if you want. The cheaper option is to go with the magpuls you can find them for about 80 a set. If you want opinions I would go with troy if I had the cash they seem to be a lot more solid. However there is nothing wrong with magpuls. When you say scope do you mean scope as in scope or as in red dot? Congrats on getting that gun you will love it!

Troy back ups for hard use. Magpul mbus for regular use. Can't go wrong with an Aimpoint t1 or H1. Or any eotech. Like a 512 or xps. Depends on which reticle you prefer. For my shtf rifle it's an Aimpoint T1 with troys.
