You said you already have a long range AR, do why not make this one for CQB?
Take off that scope and throw on an Aimpoint/EOTech and some cheap magpul BUIS.
Pick a foregrip that's comfortable for you and call it a day.
If you already have a long range AR I wouldn't put on a bipod, I'd build this one for CQB so you have two systems for two different purposes.

Use rail ladder type cover, I use Magpul or Ergo, if the rail bother you. The don't incase the rail size very much. You might also look into putting a Geissele trigger in. Make a big difference in your group size.
For an inexpensive 1-4X scope take a look at the Millet DSM-1. Or if you have the coin a Nightforce NXS 1-4X24 scope.
