the m223 was on sale $50-70 cheaper than i had seen it anywhere else. it was bright and extremely clear, and i like the simplicity of the point blank reticle. my only gripe is i wish it was an inch or two shorter, and the turrets look way too large for the scope. minor gripes for the overall benefits of this scope....i THINK it is what i am looking for. got it on a QD mount, hope it works out.....i think i'm going to be happy with it.
LOL, I did exactly the opposite for the same reason, bought a Leo 1.5 over the Nikon with the big knobs....Guess we will both see.

i REALLY liked that leupold! but i think for $170 less than the leupold....the cheapo side of me allowed the nikon to win out!

if the leupold had been a 1X......i could have possibly come home with it. let me know how it does.....it seemed like it would be a great optic! i doubt you will be disappointed.

If you can't afford one of the scopes made specifically for the AR just get any medium quality/priced scope in the range of 1 or 1.5X on the low end to 4 to 5X on the high end and it will serve you well.

I didn't get the 400.00 one, mine was only 300.00 I think it is (or was) an AR but it has a plain duplex and no illret. I have a light mount on my tactical and with the TLR 1 turned on it lights the scope right up.

Drug it out and looked, it's a 1.5x4 looks like a normal scope, just says Mark AR on the turret housing. The VX2 has 1x4 with small turrets now....Oh well.

I have a Trijicon Accupoint 1 - 4 mounted on my M&P 10. Like it a lot.
